Emily, would you suggest this as a layer in an ice cream cake? Thanks so much!

sounds and looks great!! How many layers will this cover? I’m thinking I need to half it for a 2-layer cake.

Should cover two 8 inch layers perfectly 🙂 I’m so excited for you to try it. Remember the more milk you add will determine the consistency

I hope this recipe worked for your cake. What size are you making? If you add some extra heavy cream and mix for a minute it will make your filling size increase.

You can make it a week ahead and pull it out about an hour before you need to use it. Store in tupperware. May need to mix again.

Can you use the filling to cover the whole cake as well, like a frosting on the cake?

yes you sure can, just add extra milk or cream to make it the right consistency for spreading on cake. My friend just did this as well and was very happy with the result.

Will this work with boxed cakes mixes? And if I’m having
3 -9in cake layers should I double the filling recipe?
