In separate bowl mix flour and baking powder. add into wet mixed ingredients.
With a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop out cookie dough and roll into balls. Flatten cookie tell it is about 1/2 inch thick. Press your thumb down into the cookie to make a slight indentation to hold the chocolate after they are cooled.
Bake at 325 degrees for 10-12 minutes. They should be baked through but sill soft.
Remove from baking sheet and let cool.
Melt your butter and pour over chocolate chips. Stir and microwave for 15 seconds at a time until fully melted. You can add extra butter if your chocolate isn’t smooth enough.
Add small spoons of the chocolate into the middle of your cookie.
These cookies are soft and decadent with the Chocolate ganache added. You can omit the chocolate and add peanut butter or a different topping if you prefer. I loved the way this recipe came together. You can always add more butter to your chocolate to thin it out. Add sprinkles or festive topping to the cookies for a Christmas flare. I made these with my son for his school heritage project and I will be surely passing this recipe down.
